Effect of Different Levels of Zinc and Compost on Yield and Yield Components of Wheat

Management of organic matter and micronutrients is very important for the sustainable improvement soil health. Poor usually results in lower availability zinc (Zn) plants. Such deficiency Zn causes a significant decrease growth yield crops. The need at current time to balance application amendments with achieve optimum crop yields. Thus, study was conducted investigate wheat, using compost as micronutrient. There were three levels (i.e., control (0C), 5 t/ha (5C) 10 (10C)) four (control (0Zn), 2.5 kg Zn/ha (2.5Zn), 5.0 (5.0Zn) 10.0 (10.0Zn)) applied replicates. addition 10C under 10.0Zn produced significantly better maximum enhancement plant height (8.08%), tillers/m2 (21.61%), spikes/m2 (22.33%) spike length (40.50%) compared 0C. Significant enhancements 1000-grain weight, biological grain also validated effectiveness In conclusion, showed potential improve wheat attributes. regulated mineral N, total N extractable P. Further investigation recommended different textures verify best amendment poor Zn-deficient soils.
